Donate via Foundations and Grants

DCS is looking for partnerships with a substantial and growing number of community, corporate, private and family foundations. Foundations can provide DCS with funding for general operating support, program development or project support. For more information on giving through community, corporate, or family foundations, contact Stacy Peck at

Donate Stock and Securities

Gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other appreciated assets are a strategic way to support DCS while securing tax benefits to maximize your support. By donating these assets to DCS, you can avoid capital gain taxes that would be required if you sold them.

Donate via Gifts in Kind

We accept goods and services for our clients as well as for our event silent auctions. These items help us save money while providing you with a valuable tax deduction.

We are always in need of new/lightly used clothing, shoes, and accessories for men and women. Many of our clients have little/nothing when they come to us; your donations offer them a place to “shop” (no charge, of course) for clothing, and, in doing so also helps restore a sense of hope, self-worth, and dignity. ❤️ We Love Groups!

Does your workplace do Jeans for Charity on Fridays? Would your school or church group like to do a pop can drive? Do you have a business that would like set up a unique fundrasier?  Let’s talk about how your group can help support DCS. Contact us at (616) 250-6423 or email

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is an easy and efficient way to make tax-deductible donations to DCS through payroll deductions. Many employers will even match your donation! Employers also often extend these matching programs to include gifts made through workplace giving campaigns, such as the United Way. Find our more here.

If you are a federal employee, you can give through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC# 10022) ) by designating Dirt City Sanctuary as your charity of choice. Check with your employer to learn more about workplace giving and matching gift programs.

Event Sponsorship

Each year the DCS hosts important events: conferences on ending homelessness and substance use disorder, our annual kickball tournament and our annual Gala. By sponsoring these annual events, your organization, company or foundation supports our work to end homelessness and substance use disorder while you receive recognition for your generosity, positive PR and a boost to your brand visibility. To learn more about event sponsorship, please email Stacy Peck at

Bequests and Estate Plan Gifts

A bequest is a gift from your estate—a transfer of cash, securities, or other property made through your estate plans. You can make a bequest to DCS by including language in your will or living trust leaving a portion of your estate to the organization, or by designating DCS as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy.
